Step Five – RE-Action
When you feel rejuvenated, you can return to your journey once again.
Take another look at the first two steps, and at your revised list. Forge ahead and as you progress, ask yourself the following to ensure you reach your fullest potential in this stage:
What is your intuition telling you to do?
What are your biggest fears? How will you overcome these?
What is holding you back?
What do you need to change about your circumstances?
Who is holding you back?
Who do you need to impress, convince, say goodbye to?
Who is your biggest supporter?
Who can you approach for help?
Where can you turn for additional help?
Then, list out all the negative what ifs that worry you. For example: What if I fail? For each of these, substitute a positive. What if I fly? This list will be as long or as short as your own ego. List any selfdefeating thoughts that are currently limiting you, and try replacing them.
Every time you come to a crossroads, or a decision-making point, choose the path of most resistance. This can be a simple crossroads. For example – You have one hour to either take a nap or take a walk. Take a walk. Or, a more complex one – You have fifteen minutes to call that friend you’ve been meaning to get back in touch with for the longest time or wash the dishes.
Which will you choose?
Make the most of the resources you’ve been given as you move through this journey – especially the invaluable, such as friends, family and time. Never lose appreciation for these. And, revisit the list above as often as is needed. Again, this is not a “one and done” step.
Now – What do you still have left to do in order to heal? What still needs to be repaired? Accomplish as much as you can here before heading into Step Six, where you’ll practice some tried and true meditative exercises to unlock deep and meaningful reflection of self!
