What are some ways in which you can attract positivity into your life? Luckily, there are many. In fact, the possibilities are generally only limited by our own internal inability to invite them in. If we remain open and susceptible to positive changes, they will be naturally drawn to us.
Remember the law of attraction…like attracts like. If we choose to emit positivity, positive energy will come back around to us.
So, how can we actively invite these changes into our lives and begin receiving more and more of life’s blessings? Here are some ways to consider making internal changes right now.
Practice mindfulness. I can’t say it enough. Focus on the present rather than dipping back into the past or over-worrying about the future. This is central to creating a more positive mindset. We must release the worries of the past and future and accept where we’re at in this exact moment. Take a few moments throughout the day to focus entirely on becoming more mindful. Practice this constantly and consistently to evoke feelings of contentment and peace.
Pay it forward. A small gesture goes a long way and will be paid back to you ten-fold. Did someone pay for your meal in the drive-thru? Don’t just take it and run. Do the same for the car behind you. Then sit back and watch how this simple deed comes back to you in numerous welcomed blessings.
Work to become less ego-centric and more others-centered (but, not too much). Don’t give away all of your energy. You can’t completely deplete your reserves if you want to have enough to go around. But, work daily, nevertheless, toward becoming more empathetic and others-centered in all of your interactions. It’s human nature to be ego-centric. We all are, whether we’d like to admit it or not. Don’t believe me? Pay attention to the flow of your next conversation. Are you actively listening to what your friend has to say? Or, are you just picking up the small pieces of it and waiting to interject a response? Chances are, it’s the latter. We must work to truly listen to all of what someone else is saying without our minds racing to formulate a reply. This is not easy to do, but it’s a step toward being viewed in a more positive light, which ultimately makes us feel better overall.
Do good just because. Not because you’re going to receive recognition for it or be viewed as the next supermom. Not because it helps your kid look good at school. Do good when no one is looking, and no one can possibly know one way or another. This is called integrity. The more you practice integrity, the better you will feel about yourself and your character. This builds self-confidence. It also opens us up to receiving positive blessings because we are emitting positivity.
Each day, we have a new opportunity to awake refreshed and ready to make a change for the better. Be the change you wish to see in this world…and start right now!
