I believe we are all made of energy (and this belief has been scientifically proven). Thus, we attract the energy we put out – like attracts like (i.e., the law of attraction). And, since energy is inherently fluid, we attract those with similar energy who may be completely aligned with our current path or just a bit behind or ahead of us. When we attract relationships with individuals who are a bit behind us, it’s because we have something to offer them that will help them further their journey, eventually getting to the point where we’re now at and continuing forward as we continue forward. When we attract relationships with individuals who are slightly ahead, they can help us. When there is no alignment, the attraction does not exist, and these relationships naturally fall by the wayside without intention.
I believe this because I have lived it time and again. And, it truly is beautiful. As projectors and receivers of energy, we are constantly being matched with people who are able to help us and who we are able to help. Thus, if we’ve undergone something that was a significant learning process for us, we no doubt have those in mind who helped us make it through, and we can pay this forward to individuals who come to us once we’re on the other side of the battle.
If we have undergone trauma, the individuals to whom we owe gratitude for helping us heal will forever be in our thoughts. It is impossible to forget someone who was there when we needed them most, guiding our steps toward a better life. In the same way, we can be this force for someone else, and this is why those living in the post-trauma state likely have been approached by others still stuck in the same toxicity they once were.
It’s amazing if you truly pause to consider it. You could start to realize for the first time this is actually happening to you and be awed by the universality of humanity. Once you truly open yourself up to this concept and understand what it entails, you will be given a whole new perspective on life that is impossible to turn off. Because you have elevated to a higher vibration, you will begin to notice this interconnectivity more and more. It will eventually be impossible to ignore.
This is why those who have undergone trauma need to move into a healthier second draft of life by seeking out resources to heal. And, once an individual is able to move to a point in life’s journey in which they feel they have successfully moved beyond the detrimental symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, they can begin to help others do the same. This is very cathartic, and thus, a natural and necessary part of sustainable healing. PTSD doesn’t just “go away” but there are ways to ensure it doesn’t define us infinitely. We don’t have to be defined by the worst period of our life for the rest of our lives and this is the beauty of being alive.
By normalizing trauma reporting and helping individuals who feel isolated and alone because of the toxicity they’re experiencing, we are giving back and coming more into alignment with the energy of our authentic self. This others-centered perspective will enable us to move forward in our healing journey.
Trauma should be reported. We know this and feel this to be true largely because we have lived it. Someone somewhere along the way told us it was okay to voice what we happening to us, and this was absolutely life changing. We can be that life-changing moment for someone else, and it begins with acknowledging the bonds formed in the post-trauma state that are clearly a result of energy alignment. Who needs your help?
